The International Renaissance Foundation has allocated a grant of $ 150 thousand to the Ukrainian BrainBasket Foundation.
The funds are intended for further development of the educational technology program "Technology Nation", aimed at teaching adults and children for programming.
BrainBasket owns training hubs in the 36 cities of Ukraine, and also collaborates with schools throughout the country. The course program is based on materials from well-known world-class institutions and online resources, including University of London, W3Schools, Microsoft, Mozilla MDN, and others. She has already been tested in pilot groups of teachers in Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil, as well as on a pilot group of senior pupils in Zaporozhye.
BrainBasket will continue to educate all those wishing to study the basics of programming at Harvard and MIT. In addition, the Foundation implements the IT Moms project, which teaches women to study on maternity leave, as well as the Technology Nation Kids project aimed at teaching children
The Renaissance Foundation has already collaborated with BrainBasket. In 2016 year J. Soros Foundation has allocated funds for the Ukrainian educational project.
